CALIFORNIA DREAMING
I SURRENDER TO CAPS LOCK TODAY.

*AM I A PART OF THE CURE?*
*OR AM I PART OF THE DISEASE?*
~COLDPLAY//CLOCKS

CHAMBER STRINGS GOT TO PLAY COLDPLAY AGAIN AT OUR ORCHESTRA CONCERT LAST NIGHT. IT'S REALLY NOT FAIR. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, I WON A PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR MY YOUTH ORCHESTRA ENDEAVORS (AUDITION WAS FRIDAY, NO WORD BACK YET!), AND I'M CO-PRESIDENT OF WRITERS' GUILD NEXT YEAR. DEUCES.

DID I MENTION THAT HIS BASS IS THE SAME COLOR AS HIS EYES...?
TODAY I LEARNED THAT MY MUSE WANTS TO BE A TEACHER. I WAS COUNTING ON SOMETHING MORE CREATIVE, BUT HE'D BE ONE OF THE EPIC ONES THAT EVERYONE LIKES...WELL, MOSTLY EVERYONE.

BON JOVI!
I LIKE HIS MUSIC LATELY!
MORE LYRICS FOR YOU...

SHOT THROUGH THE HEART
AND YOU'RE TO BLAME
YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME

I PLAYED MY PART
AND YOU PLAYED YOUR GAME
YOU GIVE LOVE
A BAD NAME

It's so beautiful today, and I need to buy more shorts or I won't last through this warm week!

Flip Flop Season
For a contest, this set feels preppier than my normal style.

Baby put on heart shaped sunglasses/Cause we gonna take a ride
Maybe I like this rollercoaster
Maybe it keeps me high

Lana del Rey//Diet Mountain Dew

And because I want two songs for this set...

My bartender, she's from the islands
Her body's been kissed by the sun
And coconut replaces the smell of the bar
And I don't know if it's her or the rum

iAdios and vaya con Dios!

Zac Brown Band//Toes

I can't wait for summer and warmth on this unseasonably chilly Mother's Day--I'm actually wearing a crewneck sweater right now. It's so cold, and it's NOT COOL. My remedy is to listen to summerish music and dream of the Golden state, where I will hopefully be visiting this August, if my parents ever get around to planning the trip! I'd love to help or just plan it all myself, but it's a family trip and my dad's so particular that he needs to plan every detail himself, so I can't really take anything upon myself besides the childish chores of whining and wishing.

It's almost summer vacation, y'all!

This is my Outfit of Several Days Ago, Sort Of. It felt artsy and especially expressive of my personality and the person that I would like to be, and I was more proud of it that I probably should have been. It was a Polyvore moment, and I finally got around to capturing it.

I know, I know, it's a template, but I liked it and wanted to share my "very favorites" with you guys. Now, even though I love these clotheses, I'm not sure I could call them my favorites because they were so hard to chose. If only Polyvore could be a giant closet that we could all rent clothes from...I would personally volunteer to help do part of the laundry if it would convince anyone else to make this happen!

Erin's Summer of 2013 Bucket List

Erin's Summer of 2013 Bucket List
I love the idea of making a summer bucket list, and since I got the inspiration from Polyvore, I guess I'll share my list with y'all, even though you're probably sick of all of these by now because they pretty much all look the same.

*Get a job - Anywhere except McDonald's
*Get my driver’s license - My test is June 20!
*Volunteer at the library - I did this last year, it's so fun because all you do is work a table for a summer reading program that the library puts on for younger kids.
*Go for at least three walks/bike rides a week
*Catch up on sleep! Go to bed earlier and sleep in
*Keep going to yoga at least once a week
*Spend more time at Barnes and Noble
*Play violin once to twice a month, minimum
*Write an average of at least 300 words a week
*Be on the computer less, outside more
*Spend time with @bec-luvs-swedish-fishz (at a beach, coffee place, Bay Beach, etc.)
*Get better at sit-ups and push-ups
*Possibly re-create the Beatles’ Abbey Road picture using the white Beetle that’s always parked on the side of the road
*Have a ball in San Francisco! Spend leftover New York money there and take lots of good pictures in Yosemite
*Have a water fight with @lids17
*Have a Just Dance party
*Eat less junk and more lean meats, low-fat dairies, whole grains and way more fresh produce
*Paint lots: acrylic on cardboard, watercolor on printer paper, etc.
*Make a quote book
*Use sunscreen, avoid skin cancer
*Read interesting, thought-provoking, inspirational blogs and maybe write one
*Grow my hair out
*Read all books on the following list:
-Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand (technically this one's a play)
-Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
-Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
-Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
-War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy
-The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
-East of Eden by John Steinbeck
-The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern (I saw this on @the-tip-geek's set!)
-The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
-The Virgin Suicides by Jeffery Eugenides
-A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki
-Jacob’s Folly by Rebecca Miller
-The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier
-The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux
Laugh all you want, I got my pHiLoSoPhY
I see that there is evil
And I know that there is good
And the in-betweens I never understood
Would you look at me I'm crazy
But I get the job done
I'm crazy but I get the job done

I participated in a color run for the first time today, and oh my gosh, it was great! I helped coat middle school kids and their families with a "food-grade" cornstarch and food coloring mix, and they were literally the best volunteer/community service hours I ever put in. Fro-yo afterwards with my good friend that went with me completely made my day after a long week and before another longer one.

Peace, ladies, and a special birthday shout-out to @lids17 , my absolute favorite sister ever!

The Last...(contest)
Some of these are probably falso because I was too lazy to fill in the whole template at one time, so you get to deal with it.
Last Movie: Les Miz
Last Dream: An Italian rooftop at night
Nail color: pale, opaque-ish pink
Last Song(s): Because We Can by Bon Jovi, Off to the Races by Lana Del Rey, Home by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Everybody Talks by Neon Trees and 12:51 by The Strokes.
TV Show: How I Met Your Mother.
Thing I Bought: pale denim shorts
Thing I ate: Turkey sandwich on toast with mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomato and banana peppers.
Shoes I wore: my slightly-too-small black oxfords from Aldo in New York
Website: Gmail, my e-mail

This was made for the contest Taking Flight, which was created for new members on Polyvore. The contest can be found here: http://www.polyvore.com/last/contest.show?id=401899

Peace.
